A Surgeon’s Solution to a Surgical Challenge
When the founder of MAP Medical Solutions, LLC, Dr. Mark Wright, an orthopedic surgeon in southern Idaho, found that removing/replacing well-fixed hip stems was an outdated, arduous process that was not conducive to optimal patient outcomes, he developed the Wright-Out Hip Stem Extractor System. The Wright-Out is an innovative, revolutionary system, including reusable tools, a disposable guide block with its attendant parts, and seven disposable osteotomes that allow the orthopedic surgeon to quickly, with minimal bone loss, remove the stem, utilizing any approach chosen by the operating surgeon.
Meet Dr. Mark Wright
Dr. Mark Wright is a board certified orthopedic surgeon, with a practice in southern Idaho. Dr Wright grew up in a small town in Utah, received his undergraduate degree from Weber State University in Utah, and his graduate degree from Medical College of Wisconsin, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He has practiced in Twin Falls, Idaho for 23 years, as a general orthopedic surgeon, with a subspecialty interest in total knees and hips. In his free time he loves to spend time with his family, riding his Morgan horses and working on innovative, outside the box solutions to intractable orthopedic issues.
